Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Broward County Released Inmates receives, how data supports the site, when service providers or authorities may receive it, and the choices available to visitors. It covers search terms sent to third-party tools, messages submitted directly, technical details collected during a visit, cookies, analytics, and advertising services. It also explains security limits, disclosures required by legal process, rights requests, and the policy for visitors under 18. By using the site, you accept the practices described here and the separate privacy rules of any outside service you choose to open.

Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name, place, or other query entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Broward County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider's privacy terms govern its receipt and use of the query.

Messages

If you send an email or submit a message, we retain the supplied information as needed to read, route, and answer it. We do not share the message beyond the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.

Automatic Technical Data

Ordinary server, analytics, and advertising technologies may record technical information when a page loads. That information can include:

  • The Internet Protocol address associated with the request.
  • Browser name, type, and version.
  • Device category and operating system.
  • Pages viewed and approximate time spent on them.
  • The referring page or site, when supplied.
  • Date and time stamps for requests.

Cookies

Cookies and similar storage help measure how visitors use the site and support site or advertising functions. Browser controls can reject or delete cookies. Blocking them may cause some features to behave differently or become unavailable.

Other Websites

Links lead to BSO, the Broward Clerk, FDC, FCOR, BOP, ICE, other government portals, and third-party search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy notice and data practices apply. Broward County Released Inmates does not control those policies.

Advertising partners may use their own technologies to measure activity across websites or select targeted ads. That processing occurs on their systems. Official public-record access under Florida Statute 119.07 is separate from the visitor information described in this notice.

Recipients of Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be disclosed to limited recipients that support or lawfully require the service:

  • Search partners that process a query submitted to their tool.
  • Analytics providers that measure site use.
  • Advertising networks serving or measuring ads.
  • Law enforcement or government authorities acting under a valid legal order.

Security Practices

Visitors Under 18

The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.
